In Celebration of Orange Shirt Day

David Bradley, founder of the Outland Youth Employment program (OYEP):  20 years of success providing land-based education, training and work opportunities for high school aged Indigenous youth. OYEP is a six-week work experience provided in a very supportive space that replicates various work environments.

Amanda Misnakoshkang, is from First Nation Long Lake #58.  She is a success story -- a graduate of OYEP; a graduate of Lakehead University in Environmental Studies, and a single mother of 3, who appreciates that covid has given her the opportunity to teach her children in the traditional manner.  She has faced and continues to deal with serious challenges in life and is committed to ‘Breaking the Cycle’. She says she couldn't have done what she has without the experience and support from OYEP.
